WE DON’T JUST SELL ELECTRIC BIKES…

Here at BIKEMORE we’ve understood for a long time now (since 2006) that we don’t just sell electric bikes. People expect, even with the age of the internet, that there will be an after sale service. This is why we repair / service and conduct all warranty issues for all electric bikes, even the ones we did not sell to you. Yes, we are happy to look at any ebike and we will try and help and get you back on track in no time. We conduct two types of major services for electric bikes:

OUR BASIC SERVICE $110

Our basic service should be done at least once a year, depending on your riding frequency. Some do a service every six months. So when your chain skips or brakes squeak its probably time to come in. In the service we:

• Check and correct spoke tension

• Check and correct torque of bolts and screws

• Check and correct tyre pressure

• Check and correct brake adjustment

• Check lights and reflectors and fix any issues

• Check bell and fix any issues

• Check and update any software needed (especially mid drives)

• Clean bicycle (quick clean)

• Test ride

• Note any other issues that require immediate action and discuss with customer

• Give time/km estimate for first full service

OUR FULL SERVICE $189

Our complete service is the most comprehensive piece of work we will do to your electric bike. The complete service includes all points from the basic service plus:

• Clean bicycle (complete clean)

• Clean drivetrain, including taking off and reinstalling jockey wheels

• Check chain stretch – Fit new chain if stretch> 0.5%

• Clean and relube chain

• Check cassette and chainring wear

• Check brake pads and replace if worn

• Check tyre wear and replace tyres if worn (after quoting customer)

• Check the battery status and report

• Test ride

• Note any other issues that require immediate action and discuss with customer

• Give time/km estimate for first full service

FREE WARRANTY CHECK

Every electric bike comes with a free warranty check. All ebike purchased at our store need to have this check done before your riding adventure. It is recommended that this check is done within 3 months and/or up to 400km in total distance travelled. We:

• Check and correct spoke tension

• Check and correct wheel trueness

• Check and correct torque of bolts and screws

• Check and correct bearing play

• Check and correct tyre pressure

• Check and correct gears adjustment

• Check and correct brake adjustment

• Check electric drive and fix any issues

• Check lights and reflectors and fix any issues

• Check bell and fix any issues

• Check and update any software needed (especially mid drives)

• Test ride

• Clean bicycle (quick clean)

• Give time/km estimate for first full service

AS YOU DON’T ALWAYS NEED A FULL SERVICE, WE HAVE MADE LIFE A LOT EASIER!

 

BRAKE CHECK $19.90

In the Brake Check we:

• Check & adjust the front and rear brakes

• If you need new brake pads we will install and adjust them for free and you only pay for the pads

CHAIN CHECK $19.90

In the Chain Check we:

• Check & adjust the chain (insert chain links if needed)

• If you need a new chain we will install and adjust the chain and you only pay for the new chain

THE HEART AND SOUL TEST

 

BATTERY CHECK $55

Do you have a battery that needs checking? Do you have a second hand electric bike that you want to sell but you are not sure about your battery capacity? We here at Bikemore are serious about electric bikes and since the battery is one of the most expensive parts of an ebike it should be taken care of too. What we do:

• Battery capacity and performance testing with a status report.

• Riding simulator, we simulate what it would be like to take your ebike out for the day.
